- Sarah first travelled to Australia on the 26 October 1929. A shorthand typist she had last lived at 25 Harriet Street, Rutherglen. She sailed alone aboard the SS Orontes of the Orient Line, from London bound for Melbourne.
At some time she returned to Rutherglen and stayed at 2 Wallace Street. She returned to Melbourne still single and alone aboard the SS Oronsay also of the Orient Line. Leaving London on 10th November 1934.
